Master Class in Screenwriting: One on One with a Producer


Linda Gottlieb  is known as a producer who works very closely with writers to develop material for both television and feature films.  Her feature credits include Dirty DancingLimbo (Universal),  Soldier's Girl (Showtime), and Citizen Cohn  (HBO).  Among her television movies are Chiefs (miniseries), Summer of My German Soldier, The Gentleman BanditWe're Fighting Back, and The Mating Season. Among the writers Ms. Gottlieb has worked with are Chris Columbus, Marsha Norman, John Guare, Frank Pierson, John Hershfield and Len Jenkins. For three years she was executive producer of ABC's One Life to Live. Co-author of When Smart People Fail, she has also written many magazine articles.  Ms. Gottlieb is the recipient of the Peabody Award, several Emmys, and received the Muse Award from NY Women in Film and TV.
