Biography

Shubert Fellowship, NEA grant in playwriting, Rockefeller Fellowship, 1989-1990, for A Small Delegation. Meber of the Tony Award Committee. W. Alton Jones grant for production in Philadelphia, 1992. Playwright and composer. Plays include 703 Walk Hill, Statues, Exhibition, Natives, and The Bridge at Belharbour (Goodman Theatre, Center Stage in Baltimore, Arena Stage, Manhattan Theatre Club), Separations (Arena Stage, Playwrights Horizons workshop), Flying Horses (University of Montana), Out of Order (Circle Repertory Company), The Agreement (Philadelphia Festival Theatre of New Plays), Almost in Vegas (Manhattan Punch Line Theatre). Radio plays include: The Agreement (Manhattan Punch Line Theatre), and The Desert (National Public Radio, Earplay). Music: Notes on a Life (music and lyrics, American Place Theatre, Women's Project), incidental music for numerous stage productions. Comedy pilots for ABC, CBS, and Embassy Television. Publications include The Agreement, in The Best Short Plays of 1986.
