B.A. Brooklyn College, M.A. New York University, where he is also a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Literature.
Biography
He is a screenwriter and fiction writer and has produced several award winning short films, among them Anacleto Morones (1994), based on a short story by the Mexican Writer Juan Rulfo. Awards: Best Short Film at both the Philadelphia International Film Festival (1995) and the New York Short Film & Video Expo (1996). Screenplays include: Doodles and the Muffin Man, The More I See You (a.k.a. Fish), The Promoter, All This Under A Clear Blue Italian Sky?, The Chichirivichi Story, The Strange Case of Marcela Gonzalez. Published short fiction includes: Ode to Rafael and A Small Affair (both Waverly Review). P ublications include: "Neo-Realism and Children in Latinamerican Cinema" (Kinetoscopio, 1998-99: four-issue article; Cinemais, 1998).
