He has worked for Norman Lear, Lorne Michaels, Carol Burnett, The Wayans Brothers, Larry David and Dave Attell.  He worked in the kids' animation field and spent time in Korea and Japan.  Currently he is writing a movie about surfing for Robert Chartoff Productions (“The Right Stuff,” all the “Rocky” movies).  This is his 12th year at the Tisch School of the Arts' Dramatic Writing School, where he is a tenured faculty member and created and runs the TV Concentration, perhaps the largest concentration in the school.  He is active in admissions (undergrad and grad) and was just appointed Associate Chair.  He occasionally reviews for The New York Times Book Review.
