After three successful seasons, the FirstLook@NewPlays program, a part of the First Look Theatre Company in the Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, will take a hiatus from production activity for the academic year of 2007-08. During this time, Artistic Director Gary Garrison (on partial leave to fulfill duties as Executive Director of Creative Affairs for the Dramatists Guild of America) and Managing Director Elizabeth Hemmerdinger, will analyze the program's growth and effectiveness in supporting alumni over the last three years, develop a model for the sustained growth and vitality of our program in developing new work and map out new steps forward in serving not just Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing alumni, but all alumni of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. We look forward to an exciting future and invite you to check back throughout 2007-2008 for updates.
